I was trying to look up fasting reference in the Quran as our Muslim friends are nearing the Ramadan month. The best phrase which is linked to healthy living from the Quran was
But to fast is best for you, if you only knew.
Loved it. So subtle but so true. I wish the author explained more, but maybe sometimes the less you know and the more rules you have in a religion is better for you. Again I only spent half hour googling this. If there is more references that I might have missed, my apologies.
There was also another statement
If you are ill, don’t follow it and compensate later.
I know a few dear ones who are going through that also.
Anyways, it is great to see Fasting has been followed by several religions. Our forefathers already knew the importance of it.
Coincidentally my April challenge to you all falls on Ramadan. Let’s join our Muslim friends partially at least in their fasting month.
